Big Japan Pre World Extreme Cup 2000  vol 1                  2 hr      Master

 DVD-43 Blue

COOP COPY AVAILABLE

  • Before the Extreme Cup, Big Japan was really coming into its own. Honma, Winger, Kobayashi, and Kasai, the new generation of hardcore, were given the main event positions they deserved. For the first time in Big Japan's history, death match gimmicks like weapons, blood, and crazy bumps were utilized to enhance the wrestling product, not to replace it. This tape is a series of main event matches with these stars that never aired on television. The time period of the matches is just after the two shows most Big Japan fans consider the best ever, 1/2/00 The Honma-Yamakawa Death Match of the Year, and 2/22/00 The Fire Incident and Honma-Kobayashi's KODM title match.
  • It means so much more when Kasai does one of his famous gusher blade jobs in a heated battle with Honma, after taking a perfectly executed brainbuster and spinning powerbomb than when Abdullah forks his head on your average Big Japan show. Likewise, when weapons aren't used the entire match, the occasional barbed wire bat or Kobayashi's nunchuck night sticks serve an actual purpose to build the match. Most importantly, the dangerous, suicidal bumps Big Japan has made famous, a particularly nasty one on this tape being a hurricanrana from the top rope down to the hard wood floor, are memorable and exciting for more than just a moment.

Big Japan Pre World Extreme Cup 2000  vol 2                  2 hr      Master

 DVD-44 Blue

  • The Extreme Cup raised the standards of violence in Big Japan to a sick level. It was during these shows that stapling the CZW logo to the forehead of defeated Big Japan wrestlers became popular. Instead of just the death matches being filled with gimmicks, every match would have not just sick bumps but sheer brutality, absolutely real violence including men legitimately breaking kendo sticks over one another's heads, lightbulbs being broken over exposed flesh on a regular basis, dives from high stagings and balconies, and the use of fire on chairs, tables, and in the ring. The final match is shown in complete form and is the most twisted gimmick yet, two barbed wire boards and two lightbulb boards covering the four corners, with lemons and salt as well. Once Shadow WX and Zandig rip each other's flesh apart with the barbed wire, lightbulbs, and an actual weed whacker, the acidic lemon juice can be squeezed and the stinging salt can be rubbed into the opponent's wounds. Of course, flaming tables come into play as well. This is the only video that covers the entire Extreme Cup tournament.

Big Japan World Death Match King Finals                              2 hr      Master

 DVD-45 Blue

  • The violence intensifies as Big Japan and Combat Zone Wrestling reach the climax of their feud for the World Extreme Cup. The main event includes everything from flaming tables to Shadow WX stapling a sign to Zandig's chest. In a new twist, lemons and salt cover the ring so that once these sickos are sliced up by the lightbulbs and barbed wire, they are stung by the acidic liquids and salts. In fact, they actually squeeze the lemons over huge gashes over each other's faces. Also included is Abdullah the Butcher's bloodiest match ever against Mens Teioh. Abdullah carves him up with the fork on not just his forehead, but his ear, elbow, chest, wrist, bicep, and groin as well! Teioh is immediately wrapped in bandages after the massacre. Forget about "extreme" and "hardcore". Witness the next evolution: Ultra-Violence!
