Special-4
- A nice opening montage of past Raw highlights rolls to Kid Rock's
"Bawitdaba" as the show leads us to The World in Times Square where plenty of
WWE superstars have gathered to be a part of Raw X, the tenth anniversary special. Jim
Ross and Jerry Lawler welcomed us to the show and got right down to the awards as Shawn
Michaels came out to present the Diva of the Decade Award. The nominees were Sable, Sunny,
Trish Stratus, Lita and Chyna. The award went to Trish Stratus who made her way onstage to
thank her fellow Divas in the WWE, as well as Fit Finlay, the man behind the women's
division and most importantly the fans.
- Raw's Greatest Moments #10 - 9/27/99, Mick Foley presents The Rock with
"This Is Your Life" which earned the single highest rating for a segment in Raw
history.
- After the break we heard from Stacy Keibler and the Coach who had a few words to
say about the McMahon family. With that, Shane McMahon was introduced to present the Don't
Try This At Home Award which is for the biggest bump in Raw's history. The nominees were
the Big Show chokeslamming the Undertaker through the ring, Jeff Hardy's role in the 2002
TLC match, Bubba Ray Dudley powerbombing Mae Young off the stage and through a table and
Kurt Angle's missed moonsault off the top of the cage against Chris Benoit. The award went
to Kurt Angle who made his way up to accept it but was interrupted by the Big Show who
thought he had one it. Kurt had Team Angle with him and was in character while accepting
the award and thanked himself for his hard work. Eventually, Angle's music cut him off and
he walked away annoyed.
- Stacy then introduced us to "some bad ideas" and we got a highlight
package of some of the worst gimmicks ever to grace Raw, such as Isaac Yankem, the
Gobbledy Gooker, Doink, Bastion Booger, IRS, Gillberg and many more.
- Raw's Greatest Moments #9 - 1999, The Rock conducts a "funeral" for
Steve Austin but Austin shows up to crash the party and destorys a hearse with the Stone
Cold monster truck.
- Booker T was introduced to present the next award which was the Most Shocking
Moment in Raw History Award, also known as the "tell me I did not just see that"
award. The nominees were, the three faces of Foley; Mankind, Cactus Jack, and Dude Love;
Bart Gunn defeated Dr. Death Steve Williams in the first and only Brawl For All contest;
Vince McMahon introducing Eric Bischoff as the general manager of Raw; Kane and the
Undertaker's pyro fight in which a pyro set two Raw crew members on fire, and lastly,
Stone Cold driving a Zamboni to the ring to interrupt Vince McMahon's title ceremony. The
winner was Mick Foley for the three faces of Foley. Mick himself was not at the show but
Booker accepted the award on his behalf.
- The Coach got a word with Eric Bischoff who said he didn't care about Foley
winning the award and not him, he just cares about the next 29 days. Bischoff promises the
greatest moments on Raw are yet to come.
- Ric Flair made his way out next to pay tribute to WWE's fallen superstars. A
video package rolled showcasing Andre the Giant, Joey Morella, Gorilla Monsoon, Rick Rude,
Owen Hart, Yokozuna, and Davey Boy Smith.
- The next award was the Give Me the Mic Award which was presented to the
superstar with the best mic skills on Raw. Out to present the award was Chris Jericho who
didn't even introduce the nominees because he assumed he had won. Jericho opened the
envelope and announced the winner was The Rock. Jericho started throwing a fit but the
Rock then appeared on the big screen to accept the award. Rock recalled the night Jericho
made his WWE debut an interrupted the Rock, so he told Jericho to stick a mic up his
candyass. Rock turned his attention to Kurt Angle and suggested he call Team Angle, the
Suck Squad. Next in line was Stephanie McMahon whom Rock called a "two dollar, no,
one dollar, no, seventy-five cent, I only have a quarter, will you take a check, tip your
waitress, blow out your candles, not the pool boy, slut." Pretty good line there.
Rock then reminded Goldust that he was still a sick freak and then thanked the fans who by
this time were chanting "boring." Rock told the fans to keep their eyes open for
his return because when he comes back, he won't be what they expect.
- Raw's Greatest Moments #8 - March 2001, Shane McMahon undermines his father and
buys WCW. Shane and Vince have a confrontation via simulcast with Shane on Nitro and Vince
on Raw.
- Michael Cole and Tazz were introduced to present the Shut Up and Kiss Me Award
which went to the best couple or best kiss on Raw. The nominees were Mark Henry and Mae
Young, Chyna and Eddie Guerrero, Vince McMahon and William Regal with the Kiss My Ass Club
segment, and Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. The award went to Triple H and Stephanie
McMahon who both went to the stage to accept the award. Stephanie said where else can you
get drugged up at your own wedding, marry a loser, fake a pregnancy, get divorced and then
make a comeback to head up the greatest wrestling show on TV today, SmackDown!. Triple H
proposed they give each other a kiss just for old time's sake and when Stephanie closed
her eyes, H dropped trou (dammit, haven't we had enough of this guy in his underwear for
one week? Heh) and mooned Steph who cracked H's ass with a hard smack.
- Raw's Greatest Moments #7 - 1999, Mankind visits Vince McMahon at the hospital
and Mr. Socko is born. Later that night, McMahon is attacked by Austin who was posing as a
doctor.
- Mean Gene Okerlund and Pat Patterson came out to present the Network
Difficulties Award, which was for the segment on Raw that gave the networks the biggest
headache. The nominees were Mae Young "giving birth" to a hand, Stone Cold
stunning Santa, hot lesbians on Raw getting the crapped knocked out of them by Rosey and
Jamal, and Austin breaking into the house of Brian Pillman who was armed with a gun. The
award went to Mae Young who made her way up to accept it. Okerlund got her offstage by
saying there was a bar and he'd buy her a drink.
- Raw's Greatest Moments #6 - 1998, D-Generation X mocking the Nation of
Domination.
- Brock Lesnar was introduced next to present the Superstar of the Decade Award.
Lesnar mentioned he respected everyone on the nominees list as well as every superstar in
the room, besides Paul Heyman. The nominees were, Mick Foley, The Rock, Bret Hart, Triple
H, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and the Undertaker. The winner was Stone Cold Steve Austin,
and for a minute everyone thought Austin might've been making his return but instead,
Vince McMahon appeared to take the award. McMahon said there were good reasons Austin
wasn't there to accept the award, but he's sure Austin would love to be up there onstage
accepting it in front of all these fans. McMahon said Austin wasn't there, simply because
he was not invited.
- The Coach then stood by with Triple H who said the award was based on a
popularity contest and he, along with Flair, walked out.
- Raw's Greatest Moments #5 - March 1998, Vince brings Mike Tyson to Raw and he
has a confrontation with Steve Austin.
- After the break, the nominees for Raw's Greatest Match were shown, which were:
Kane vs. The Dudley Boyz vs. Chris Jericho & Christian vs. Jeff Hardy & Rob Van
Dam in the 2002 TLC match, Triple H vs. Cactus Jack in 1997, Undertaker vs. Jeff Hardy in
a Ladder Match in 2002, Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Kane in 1998. The winner was the 2002
TLC match. All the participants from the match came onstage to accept the award, with
Jericho and Christian boasting about themselves until Kane interrupted and said the award
was very special to all of them. Bubba Ray spoke up and said the award was for all the
guys who paved the way for TLC matches. Everyone onstage exited except Rob Van Dam, who
said everyone needed to thank their favorite superstar, and his, who else, but Rob Van
Dam.
- Raw's Greatest Moments #4 - 1998, DX invades a WCW show and tries to speak with
Eric Bischoff.
- Raw's Greatest Moments #3 - 2002, The Rock challenges Hollywood Hulk Hogan to a
match at WrestleMania.
- Stacy and the Coach said we've seen the great eight, now it's down to the final
two greatest moments in Raw history as voted by the fans.
- Raw's Greatest Moments #2 - May 22, 1998, A very emotional night in wrestling
history as the WWE paid tribute to the late, great Owen Hart.
- Raw's Greatest Moments #1 - March 22, 1999 Steve Austin, Rock, Vince,
Shane THE BEERBATH The week of Wrestlemania XV, Austin gives the Corporation
a beerbath, Coors Light style. A moment that has been seen so many times on so many
highlight reels and video releases, and it certainly has to be somewhere near the
top
I have no problem at all with this one winning, not at all. The definition of
Attitude, plus the Know Your Role Boulevard
Route 3:16 and burn that son of a
bitch to the ground line that we all know. The fans absolutely exploded and Vince
was COVERED repeatedly in beer, absolutely hilarious and very entertaining.
- Edge was introduced to show us the greatest moment in Raw history, which was in
March of 1999 when Steve Austin drove a beer truck to ringside and soaked Vince, Shane,
and the Rock with beer. Edge invites all the WWE superstars onstage so they can
collectively thank all of us, the fans, for making everything possible. You're welcome.
Hah. And with that, JR and the King sign off.
